Want to Be A ChocolateCONER?
We’re looking for cool, enthusiastic, passionate volunteers (aka ChocolateCONERs) who care deeply about preserving and continuing the legacy of Chocolate Cities. In other words, if you love and know the song “Chocolate City” by Parliament and the cities where this manifestation has been possible then you are among the family!
Every volunteer is helping to shape the vibe and experience of the convention goers so please know any level of support you can lend is appreciated.
Volunteer Guidelines
Volunteers must:
Be 18 years or older
Be dependable and punctual.
Attend a pre-convention training session
Volunteer a minimum of 4 hours of service over the convention weekend.
Are ChocolateCONERS Rewarded?
Heck yes! Volunteers will receive:
An exclusive ChocolateCON commemorative t-shirt
Free admission to the convention including the VIP experience and After Party
A special volunteer discount on the purchase of convention swag and ticketed experiences throughout the year
Volunteers receive no monetary compensation for their services
Fare and water
Special Note: Cosplay Contest Alert! Embrace the theme of Black Joy and come dressed in your favorite cosplay look! Whether you're channeling a beloved character or reimagining one through a Black cultural lens, all cosplay wearers are invited to enter our Cosplay Contest for a chance to win fun prizes and community bragging rights!
